When looking for someone to perform a rebuild on my Honda S2000 engine, I came across countless claims that it “couldn’t be done” and that “Honda engines are almost impossible to rebuild to the same standard as a factory engine”. Fortunately for someone that builds race engines, the idea of building a road engine that revs to 9000rpm was a fun challenge and one that Dave approached with a huge amount of care, and of course skill. To say the newly built engine goes well is an understatement, it revs to the moon and runs smoothly and quietly. I’d happily recommend Race Engine Build to anyone, and having worked in motorsport for 12 years now, that’s certainly not something I would say lightly.
